Five things you'll find here

01

Bridge Classroom to Clinical Practice

Graduate school builds your foundation. Here, you'll apply that knowledge in real-world settings while receiving guidance that helps bridge theory with everyday practice.

02

Learn the Business of Mental Health

Beyond clinical skills, you'll gain firsthand exposure to the operations of a private practice, including documentation, billing, quality assurance, compliance, and client care systems that keep a practice running effectively.

03

Practice Through a Whole-Person Lens

Our approach recognizes that mental health is shaped by culture, identity, family, community, and systemic influences, helping interns develop a more holistic and culturally responsive way of working with clients.

04

Develop Your Own Clinical Identity

Rather than teaching one "right" way to be a therapist, we encourage you to explore different approaches, think critically, and cultivate a clinical style that is ethical, authentic, and uniquely your own.

05

Grow Within a Supportive Team

Learning to become a clinician can feel overwhelming, but you won't do it alone. Through supervision, collaboration, and ongoing mentorship, you'll have the support, feedback, and encouragement to grow with confidence.

The beginning of a longer relationship

One of the things we're most proud to offer is the possibility of continuity. For graduate interns who successfully complete their placement, demonstrate strong clinical and professional development, and are a good fit for the practice, there may be opportunities to remain with Poder Healing after graduation while working toward licensure.

That means your internship can become the beginning of a longer professional relationship.
