COMMUNITY HEALING ACCESS
Rooted in equity, care, and the belief that everyone deserves support.
There are moments when life feels heavier than your resources.
When grief, stress, anxiety, trauma, or transition are present, but access to care feels blocked by cost, systems, or inequity.
This program exists for those moments.
The Community Healing Access Program was created as a liberation-centered response to gaps in access to mental health care. We recognize that many people experience emotional distress not because something is wrong with them, but because they are navigating systems shaped by oppression, displacement, and historical harm.
Here, healing is not rushed, pathologized, or separated from context.
It is held with dignity, cultural humility, and care for the whole person.
This space if for you if:
You are 10 years old or older
You currently live in New York State
You are uninsured, on Medicaid or Medicare, or unable to financially sustain therapy
You have felt unseen, misunderstood, or harmed in traditional mental health spaces
You are carrying emotional stress shaped by life experiences and systemic realities
You are seeking culturally responsive, holistic, and liberation-centered care
You do not need to explain or justify your needs.
You do not need to fit into a narrow model of healing.
You deserve support that honors your humanity, context, and lived experience.
What the Community Healing Access Program Offers
This program provides up to 12 complimentary therapy sessions with a counseling intern under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
Care is offered through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive lens, ensuring that sessions honor each person’s social, cultural, and historical context.
Through this program, you will have space to:
• Process emotional stress, grief, and trauma
• Explore how systems and lived experiences shape your inner world
• Develop grounding, regulation, and coping tools
• Reconnect to your body, values, and sense of agency
• Experience care that centers dignity rather than deficit
This is not charity-based care.
This is community care grounded in accountability, ethics, and respect.
